How do I use a nic shot?
Nicotine shots and nicotine salt shots are super simple to use. Unscrew the lid of your shortfill bottle and remove the nib. Then, remove the lid from the nicotine shot and squeeze the entire bottle into your shortfill. Place the nib and the lid back onto the shortfill and shake thoroughly to help mix and combine the e-liquids. It is a wise idea to let the mixture sit for 48 hours to allow the liquids to combine properly, however you can also use it straight away.
How much nicotine should I use?
If you're someone who has just quit smoking, we recommend using a higher strength of nicotine to help curb all of those cravings, otherwise you may find yourself using your vape very frequently but remaining unsatisfied. However, if you have just started vaping for enjoyment or you're trying to cut down your nicotine consumption, use an e-liquid with a lower strength.
Other bottles of nicotine, such as nic salts, come in a wider variety of nicotine strengths. These strengths are 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. Shortfills are more designed for sub-ohm vaping due to their high VG content, therefore adding nicotine shots is optional. However, because sub-ohm devices are more powerful, less nicotine is required - otherwise your nicotine intake would be too high and could create a very unpleasant throat hit and overall experience. Adding a 10ml bottle of 18mg nicotine shot to a shortfill will produce a bottle that has 3mg nicotine in it.
What's the difference between a nicotine shot and a nic salt shot?
Both of these liquids are unflavoured vape juices and can come in varying strengths. The main difference lies in the chemical composition of the nicotine that is in the bottle. Nic shots use freebase nicotine which provides the harsher throat hit that ex-smokers may be drawn to, whereas nicotine salt shots have a smooth throat hit at higher nicotine levels.
Can you vape nicotine shots alone?
No, you cannot vape nic shots on their own. Nic shots are designed to be added to e-liquids in order to increase their nicotine content. Vaping nic shots on their own would not produce enough vapour to be satisfying and would likely be very unpleasant.
Can you mix nic shots with other e-liquids?
Yes, nic shots are designed to be mixed with shortfills. Due to TPD regulations in the UK, bottles of e-juice that contain nicotine cannot contain more than 10ml. Because of this, shortfills are produced, as they come in 50ml bottles to which you can add your 10ml nicotine shot to create a large quantity of flavoured and nicotine-containing e-liquid. Nic shots should not, however, be combined with nic salts.
